Meet Dr. Teresa Lear Doyle, LMFT
Hello! Welcome and thank you for visiting. I have nearly 20 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. The therapy models I use target the complex intersection of trauma-attachment-neurodiversity challenges. Parents of children with these challenges can gain a better understanding of how to improve communication with their children, how to build stronger attachments, and how to manage difficult behaviors. Individuals with these challenges learn tools for self-regulation, allowing them to thrive, not just survive.
I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), eligible to practice in the State of Delaware and the Commonwealth of Virginia. I have a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and I am a graduate of a two-year postgraduate fellowship in Infant-Parent Mental Health. My educational background focused on the interplay of attachment, trauma, and somatic (body-based) therapies. I believe that talk therapy alone cannot fully heal trauma that is held within the body. As with all mental health professionals, the type and amount of additional training beyond schooling, and clinical experience, determines our expertise. I am an expert in working with individuals and families with children as young as infants who struggle because of attachment weaknesses, complex trauma and/or neurodiversity issues.
